Description
A genus closely related to Valeriana - the roots have the same distinctive odour. Forms congested clumps of oblanceolate leaves; bright, pure yellow flowers are borne on short stems in summer, when a boost is needed for the rock garden; small enough for a trough and would make an unusual addition.
