Clump of 20-40cm stems with toothed, lanceolate leaves. Heads of bright purple-blue flowers start out cylindrical but then stretch into long teardrops as they open. For a sunny, acidic, moist area, like in pastures it is found. M. Rejzek collection from Maritime Alps 1580m, France.
