Gentiana occidentalis

Pavelka collection from the Spanish Pyrenees growing on alpine pastures (note the affinity for other plants). Smaller leaves than g. acaulis; dark blue flowers freely borne; the lesser known species of section ciminalis are well worth growing- all are very beautiful.
